A flea market, organized by the Greater Southside Homeowners Association, will be held the first and second Saturdays of each month at 1543 S. Salina St. (across from the KFC). For more information, call (315) 925-4487.
City Market features vendors from all over the region selling ceramics, vintage clothing, furniture, home décor, handmade crafts, antiques and much more. Parking at OnCenter garage is $2.50 with Everson Museum validation.

Beauchamp Branch Library will offer free 45-minute beginner-friendly yoga classes, hosted by Thrive in Healing, this summer. Bring a yoga mat and water; limited yoga mats are available to borrow. The program will take place outside. To learn more, call (315) 435-3395 to sign up.

Sankofa Urban Market will be held on July 17 and featuring Black-owned vendors.The market is located behind Beauchamp Branch Library in the Sankofa Parklet.
Street musician and local legend Elijah Harris Jr., who was killed by a pair of hit-and-run accidents in April 2020, will be honored during a celebratory memorial service from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Hendricks Chapel.
All members of the community are invited to this special observance being organized by his daughter, Lakisha Harris and her family, and hosted by Syracuse University’s College of Professional Studies. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family asks that attendees wear masks to keep the community safe.
Last fall, the Harris family established the Eli Harris Scholarship Fund, through the College of Professional Studies, which will assist a part-time music student annually.
