The Syracuse Community Health Center, 100 Black Men and CNY Jazz Central have organized mobile vaccination and COVID-19 testing events in an effort to help increase Syracuse's vaccination rates. Each event will also feature music, public health information, raffles, incentives and more.

Cafe Sankofa Cooperative will host a day of celebrating in honor of the Juneteenth holiday. The day begins with yoga with Dr. Marcelle Haddix, a Sankofa Community Garden Planting, arts and crafts, live DJ, dance party and free giveaways.

Sankofa Saturdays Urban Market will provide a chance to shop Black-owned businesses bi-weekly starting. The market will feature food, music, art, natural products, head wraps, African apparel and more. Contact Pat at (315) 876-1887 for more information.

The Black Artist Collective will host On The Reel Film Fest' and Pop-Up Market Saturday, June 19, at the Syracuse Inner Harbor. The one-day event will include an outdoor screening of "The Wiz," a performance by KJ and Lolo, food trucks, over 20 local Black-owned business vendors and a family arts activity tent.  This event is FREE and OPEN to all.

The Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council Policy Committee will begin 10 a.m. June 23 on Zoom. The public may watch a livestream and submit comments through the council's YouTube channel.

A vaccination clinic will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Tucker Baptist Church. No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome. The event will also feature music by Brownskin Band, free hamburgers, hotdogs and Skippy's Ice Cream.

Event starts at 8:30 p.m. with movie screening at dusk.
