Learn the skills that can help you get a job in the manufacturing field. A certified instructor will teach soldering skills as well as important safety information for the manufacturing workplace. Attendees will also learn techniques for crafting one's resume and interviewing that will make employers more likely to hire. Participants who complete all four sessions will have the opportunity to interview for employment with a local manufacturer. Registration is required. Classes are limited to 10. March 12 will welcome Dr. Indu Gupta, commissioner of health at the Onondaga County Health Department and Dr. Karen Nardella, medical director, Syracuse University Health Services, will speak about infectious disease and the importance of their work and collaborations.

March 19 will honor Women’s History Month and welcome Carol Faulkner, associate dean and professor of history, to speak about women’s suffrage and the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
