The Syracuse Black Expo Holiday Marketplace will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Syracuse Community Connections, 401 South Ave. This annual event will feature over 40 vendors from the Syracuse area and beyond and include a mini health expo by providing health information to the public. In collaboration with 411 Publication & Media, a business directory of local Black-owned businesses will be distributed. Event is free to attend. Join El Punto Art Studio for its Annual Patron's Holiday Event set to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14, at the studio, 105 Strathmore Dr. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres served with champagne and wine, live music featuring Colleen Kattau and readings from Arthur Flowers and Chris Kennedy. Cost is $30 donation per person and $10 for students.

An I-81 Indoor Block Party will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Creators Lounge, 2223 S. Salina St. The party will be hosted and feature music by DJ Big Boy. Even is sponsored by the New York Civil Liberties Union and Urban Jobs Task Force.

This annual Bike Give Away will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. Bike donations may be dropped off at the NY State Fairgrounds until Dec 19.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker will perform one show in Syracuse at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater, 411 Montgomery St. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, this remixed production of Tchaikovsky’s classic music is performed by a cast of a dozen all-star dancers, a DJ, a violinist and MC Kurtis Blow, one of Hip Hop’s founding fathers.
