Stewardship day to launch the use of the new 80V electric mower, sheet mulch around the raised beds, manage trash, cleavers, bindweed, prune berry bushes and canes, organize other infrastructure such as fencing and signage. Volunteers welcome.

There will be a committee meeting of the Neighborhood Preservation (Homeless & Housing Vulnerable) Committee at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. This meeting will be held via WebEx.

The city of Syracuse rose from humble beginnings to become the fifth most populous city in New York state, and grew as a result of the Erie Canal and the industry it spurred. The city no longer has the Erie Canal, but it is still home to the only remaining weighlock from the 19th century waterway. Onondaga Historical Association's Downtown Syracuse location is a lot bigger than what you may have seen. So much of its downtown building is collections and storage.
