Kwanzaa Collective by Cafe Sankofa will sponsor a celebration to uplift the community. From 3 to 5 p.m. the Final Day Imani: Faith will be celebrated with a Karamu feast sponsored by the Syracuse Community Health Center.

Planned Parenthood educator Mallory will distribute brochures, fact sheets and give-a-ways, answer questions and talk to teens one-on-one about family planning, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, minors’ rights and much more. All materials include information about where to access low-cost reproductive health care. If appropriate, referrals will be made to partner agencies for additional service needs. Representatives from the Onondaga County Office for Aging will host a series of outreach events to assist seniors with applying for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). HEAP provides limited subsidies for heating and utility costs. Sites and times may change; call (315) 435-2362 to verify.
