Quilts may have played a significant role in communication between slaves and helped them on their way to freedom. In honor of Black History Month, the Friends will raffle a lap quilt whose design is inspired by the Underground Railroad. The Southside TNT meeting is held at 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the auditorium at Danforth Magnet Middle School.  Park in the parking lot off West Lafayette Avenue. Chief of Police Kenton Buckner as well as the Bureau of Administrative Adjudication will be gusts.

The rescheduled Save the Rain community meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Beauchamp Branch Library. The meeting will discuss upcoming green infrastructure construction projects along Salina Street. All in the community are invited to participate.

Under the leadership of NBLCA several nonprofit health organizations will be on hand to share resources and information on AIDS prevention and support services for housing, testing and treatment for persons with chronic diseases.
