Back by popular demand, library staff be resurrecting Junk Creatures, the beasts from the recycling bin, with accessories from the craft cabinet. Let’s see what we can create! No registration required. Open to ages 5 and up. This program meets at Central’s second-floor KidSpace.

Join library staff for a family night of science, technology, engineering art and math concepts that will be explored through the unique kits, toys and games the library has to offer. There will even be an appearance by the famous Big Blue Blocks. For families with children ages 3 and up.

ACR Health, a nonprofit organization serving nine counties in Central New York, offers a range of support services for people with chronic diseases, including HIV/Aids, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, substance use disorders and mental illness. Representatives will be on hand to assist people with chronic disease in securing housing, testing and treatment. No registration required.

Learn about free cancer screening services available through the Onondaga County Health Department. Men and women without health insurance can obtain free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings and diagnostic services through the county’s Cancer Services Program.

Find out and discuss what you can do in order to protect yourself in case of a zombie outbreak. This entertaining program will focus on the following topics: Basic zombie survival techniques; combat weapons; survival vehicles, and common mistakes, myths and generally bad ideas about zombies. The workshop will be led by Marcus Suraci, the volunteer MakerSpace Sound Engineer. No registration necessary. This program meets at Central’s first-floor MakerSpace.

Need help with your legal problems? Talk to a lawyer for free on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Volunteer lawyers will answer your questions on a first come, first served basis. This program takes place at Central’s third-floor CNY Community Room.
