A visitor from a galaxy beyond our own has done all of this, but they are most fascinated by seeing Earth for the first time. The audience can describe some of the unique parts of Earth, while the visitor demonstrates some of the most extraordinary aspects of the Universe. No registration required. A class on Planning & Starting Your New Business will be offered by Syracuse SCORE Chapter 98 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Tuesday, July 23, at the East Side Business Center, 1201 E. Fayette St.  Cost is $75, which includes lunch. Veterans are free courtesy of a grant from M&T Bank and parking is free for all attendees. The class will provide a step by step process to go through to evaluate if one is ready and what is needed to start on the road to business ownership.  Topics include business plan, marketing, feasibility plan, financial matters and projections. CNY Celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Local disability service providers, disability rights advocates and other community partners will come together to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) from 10 a.m. to noon July 24 in downtown Syracuse. The purpose of this year's event is to celebrate the passage of the ADA and raise awareness of disabilities in the community. This year's theme is about bringing the HEAT, awareness about the need for accessible and affordable Housing/Healthcare, Education, Access for all and Transportation. Betts Summer Concert Series

Keyna Hora Klezmer will enchant listeners with their lively ethnic Klezmer dances and Yiddish folk songs from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, as part of the Betts Summer Concert Series. Klezmer music is the traditional instrumental music of the Jews of Eastern Europe. Enjoy the Klezmer sound as the soulful music of the synagogue is mixed with the verve of Gypsy melody. Everyone is encouraged to sing, dance and clap to the music.

Planned Parenthood educator Mallory will distribute brochures, fact sheets and give-a-ways, answer questions and talk to teens one-on-one about family planning, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, minors' rights and much more. All materials include information about where to access low-cost reproductive health care. If appropriate, referrals will be made to partner agencies for additional service needs. Candidate Meet & Greet

The Political Action Committee of the Syracuse/Onondaga County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will host a Meet & Greet for candidates running for county executive, comptroller, district attorney, county clerk and all county legislature seats. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 25 at St. Lucy’s Church, 432 Gifford St. Members of the community will have the opportunity to interact directly with the candidates, ask questions and review their campaign material. The event is intended to foster personal interaction between candidates and members of the public. The event is free, open to the public and refreshments will be served.
