This summer, The Stand offered a new storytelling series — From Where We Stand — in which South Side and West Side residents shared their families’ summer stories through photos.
We invite you to view participants’ photos during a final gallery reception for the project being held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Link Gallery at the Nancy Cantor Warehouse downtown.
In the upcoming issue, our cover story is on Myah Lynell Baker, a soon-to-be teen mom living at the Salvation Army Parenting Center, who before April, was homeless.
Also featured is a Q&A with Corcoran’s new principal and musicians attending the first Syracuse JAMS cookout, plus a photo spread featuring the best shots from our 5th annual Photo Walk.
Click the cover to view a full pdf issue and be sure to visit FromWhereWeStand.net to view all of the participants’ photos from our summer project.
