A volunteer attorney will be at the library to provide free legal assistance or referrals for family, housing, business, immigration or civil legal issues. No appointments necessary, but please sign in at the circulation desk upon arrival.
The city's Community Co-Design Workshop with Trauma Response will begin at 5:3 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, Boys and Girls Club on Shonnard Street. The City has partnered with the Trauma Response Team and Zivics, a local startup company, to develop an app which will support families that have experienced traumatic and emergency events.Join for the co-design workshop and to help develop this new tool. Food and kids’ activities will be provided.
In honor of Women’s History Month come enjoy "Queen of Katwe," the story of a young girl named Phiona who masters the game of chess in hopes of getting her family out of poverty. Snacks provided. Seating will be available, but we encourage you to bring a comfy blanket and/or bean bag to rest on as you enjoy the movie.
