“Out of Many, We Are One” Immigration and Equity Lecture

Le Moyne College 1419 Salt Springs Rd, Syracuse

Dr. Jim Zogby, founder of the Arab American Institute, will deliver a lecture on "Out of Many, We are One: What it Means to Honor Our Promise to New Americans" at 4 p.m. Mach 30 at Le Moyne College in the James Commons.

Syracuse City Redistricting Meeting

The Syracuse City Redistricting Commission (SCRC) recently began its work on proposing new district lines for the city of Syracuse. Several meetings have been scheduled to provide opportunities for residents to ask questions as well as provide input and information on their desires regarding political boundaries.

Job Fair for Syracuse Parks

Bob Cecile Community Center 176 W. Seneca Tpke., Syracuse

The Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Bob Cecile Community Center, 174 W. Seneca Turnpike.

Parks staff will be available to answer questions and conduct onsite interviews. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of resumes, qualifications and certifications. Open positions include: arts & crafts instructors; certified pool operators; fitness instructors (youth and senior fitness and water exercise); lifeguards; night security; park maintenance; summer recreation program site leaders and assistants, and swim instructors.
