Salt City Market Commnity Room 484 S. Salina St., Syracuse

Tot Tuesdays will be held in the Salt City Market community room. First, Storytime with Miss Jackie will begin at 11:30 a.m. (presented by the Onondaga Public Library), followed by Books, Balls and Blocks at Noon (presented by the Early Childhood Alliance and Help Me Grow).

Documentary Premiere: ‘A Blueprint for Re-Renewal’

Dunbar Center 1453 S. State St. , Syracuse

The short documentary "A Blueprint for Re-renewal" will premiere at the Dunbar Center April 13. The film is a brief narrative of the history and culture of Pioneer Homes and asks questions about its planned demolition. It features interviews with former residents and public housing scholars and examines the human costs of re-renewal. Audience questions will follow a panel discussion that includes the Rev. H. Bishop Alex; David Rufus, NYCLU, and Ibraheem Abdi, social worker and resident. The event is supported by City Scripts, The Most Beautiful Home... Maybe, the Dunbar Center, the Engaged Humanities Network, SUNY-ESF's Digital Storytelling Studio and Write Out. Research for the documentary was supported by the SOURCE, the Renee Crowne Honors program and the Engaged Humanities Network.

Spring Fling

Seals Community Center at Kirk Park 300 West Borden Avenue, Syracuse

Onondaga County 4-H to shots a Spring Fling where 4-H staff will offer a fun-filled day of activities for youth from 4-H and the Syracuse community. Offerings include STEM activities, food systems project and crafts. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
