An open house for students entering Kindergarten to learn more about the Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School will be held from 11 a.m. to noon March 19. SAS is a tuition-free public charter school open to all Central New York students.  She school provides student meals, small class sizes, with two teachers for the younger grades. Musical “The Drowsy Chaperone”

Virtual Storytime

Join Beauchamp Branch Children's Librarian, Sara, for a short virtual storytime. This storytime is designed for younger children, limiting the time to 20-30 minutes to compensate for the short attention spans. It is held over Zoom.

The Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs will host two in-person job fairs at the Bob Cecile Community Center, 174 W. Seneca Turnpike. The first will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, and the second from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26.

Parks staff will be available to answer questions and conduct onsite interviews. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of resumes, qualifications and certifications. Open positions include: arts & crafts instructors; certified pool operators; fitness instructors (youth and senior fitness and water exercise); lifeguards; night security; park maintenance; summer recreation program site leaders and assistants, and swim instructors.

This exhibition features 51 photographs taken by 46 photographers during this event throughout its 12-year history and is a visual testament to the struggles and resiliency of the neighborhood.
