The Onondaga County Chess Championship will be held Sunday, March 6, at Southside Academy Charter School, 2200 Onondaga Creek Blvd. Registration begins at noon. Entry fee is $10 early or $15 at the door; refreshments will be sold during the competitions. Students and school teams in grades K-12 will play 4 rounds of chess to win trophies and medals. First round begins at 12:30 p.m. School teams require a minimum of two players in one age group: K-4, K-6 or K-12. Students must be with an adult.
