Narcan Training

Every day in our country, 130 people die from an overdose of heroin or prescription pain killers, collectively known as opioids. The opioid epidemic affects every corner of society. Naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) can be administered to help reverse the effect of an overdose and save a life. In just 30 minutes, you can learn to administer this drug through a nasal spray by trainers from Helio Health. Coffee and donuts will be provided as the trainers walk attendees through how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to safely administer this life-saving treatment. Home Energy Assistance Program Sign-up

Representatives from the Huntington Family Center Senior Program will be on hand to help seniors or other eligible patrons learn about HEAP. The Home Energy Assistance Program helps low income persons pay for heating costs with a one-time annual grant. Patrons can learn if they meet eligibility requirements and how to sign-up for benefits. For adults. Level 1.
