The MOST will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day during the school vacation -- except for Christmas Day -- with demonstrations, planetarium shows and extra hands-on activities. Visit the museum's homepage for more details.

A session on Little Bits Electronics will begin at 2 p.m. Dec. 28. Bits snap together with magnets to create circuits instantly. Detailed, step-by-step instructions are included to start building inventions. The Little Bits system is modular so every bit works with every other bit in the system. Open to ages 8 and up.

Learn how to fold paper to create beautiful 3D Snowflakes at 2 p.m. Dec. 29. Open to ages 5 and up.

Draw like the Impressionists. Speaking French is optional.

Enjoy a variety of holiday themed games and activities while learning the basics of coding. Open to ages 5 and up.

Ring in the "noon" year at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo with entertainment, a dance party and more. It's an authentic New Year's Eve celebration that keeps bed time in mind, complete with countdown and sparkling juice toast at noon.

Teen Photography Club will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the downtown library. The club meets monthly, and projects are shaped by teens' interests.
