Falls Prevention Awareness Day

To mark the 10th Annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day, a special event will be held Sept. 22, on the first day of fall. This year’s theme is “Ten Years Standing Together to Prevent Falls.” This free event seeks to raise awareness on how to prevent fall-related injuries among older adults. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. seniors, age 60 and older, are welcome to participate in: Falls Education, Strength & Balance Screening, A Strength & Balance Exercise Class and enjoy lunch.
