Movies Under the Stars

Light of Syracuse, Inc. will host three free Friday movie nights in July: July 7, 21 and 28 (raindates set for July 13 and 27 and Aug. 3). All movies are family-friendly and the featured films will include: "Beauty and the Beast," "Queen of Katwe" and "Jungle Book." Event begins at 7 p.m. and movie starts by 8 p.m. and is held in the Bethany Baptist Church parking lot. For less than a dollar, enjoy a hotdog, beverage and popcorn. Bring chairs. In Destination: INSPIRATION, kids don't just WATCH the show – they JOIN IN! Children take part in a madcap, interACTIVE adventure in which they create characters, choose settings and steer the plot. Award-winning author Jason Edwards guides the production and acts out the story, while supplying loads of prompts, hints, encouragement, funny props and slapstick humor. No registration required; all ages welcome. This program will meet in the first-floor Community Room.

Audacity for Storytellers & Musicians

Audacity is a tool for storytellers and music makers. It can be used to create podcast material, soundtracks, songs, voice-overs or audition material. In this workshop, you will learn how to use the Audacity software to record live audio, find free sound effects and Foley clips, and use editing tools to refine your tracks. Citizen Review Board Meeting
