Onondaga Votes! Meeting

Onondaga Votes! is comprised of people from numerous groups who are interested in increasing voter turnout and participation on the South Side of Syracuse since 2017. Organizers invite anyone who is interested to attend the March 11 Zoom meeting to join to help brainstorm ways of communicating and supporting greater civic engagement in the upcoming primary and general elections. This year’s election is important as it includes elections of city mayor, city council, Onondaga County Legislature and more. Public Safety Committee Meeting

The city of Syracuse will hold a Public Safety Committee meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, via WebEx. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Syracuse Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan.

The SAMMYS Awards Show

The SAMMYS Awards Show to recognize and honor local musicians will be live-streamed from SubCat Music Studios starting at 7 p.m. Friday, March 5. The event is free and open to the public; donations will be accepted. Note, the SAMMYS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has been postponed until next year. March's awards show will feature performances from: Byron Cage, Cam Caruso, Sophistafunk, Stephen Phillips and Vaporeyes.
