Virtual Concert of New Music for Organ

Virtual concert recorded at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Syracuse, featuring new works for organ performed by Jonathan Embry, Alexander Meszler, Anne Laver and Augustine Sobeng. The program includes world premieres by Natalie Draper and Jonathan Embry.

Southside TNT Virtual Meeting

Southside Tomorrow's Neighborhoods Today meets on the first Monday of each month, however, the group rescheduled September's meeting for Monday Sept. 14, due to the Labor Day Holiday. TNT highly recommends participants plan on beginning the process of joining the meeting at least 15 minutes prior to the 6 p.m. meeting start time.

CNY Young Naturalists

Each week, Rebecca from CNY Young Naturalists will lead a lesson on an interesting nature topic and provide activities to try outside and include in a nature journal. Then, at the following meeting, participants will discuss what they found in nature and have recorded in their journals. Sankofa Food Share

Cafe Sankofa 2323 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY, United States

The Sankofa Wellness and Resource Center presents a bi-weekly food share on Wednesdays. The center will provide dry goods (rice, beans etc.) and fresh produce. Items are set up for Grab N Go, and organizers will be utilizing social distancing guidelines to provide the food items. Photo ID is preferred. Pre-registration is not required. Civic Saturdays

Key Bank Parking Lot 2209 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY, United States

Celebrate Civic Saturdays with the Greater Syracuse Homeowners Association Project S.O.U.L. from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 19 and 26, at the Key Bank parking lot on South Salina Street. The event will feature music, face-paining and free refreshments, including hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and soft drinks. The group is also working to register residents to vote and increase participation in the Census to ensure a complete count for Syracuse's South Side.

Ballet Basics for Teens

Learn the basics of ballet barre in this hour-long Zoom class. All you'll need is a chair, socks and a little space to move. Led by Liz Bryson, who has studied ballet for 25 years, and teaches Ballet IV and Adult Beginner Ballet at the Syracuse School of Dance. Intended for ages 13 to 18. Online Workshop: Cut the Salt

This health workshops, "Cut the Salt," is presented by Just Say Yes to Fruits & Vegetables, a partner of the Food Bank of Central New York. Salt can be found in many unexpected places. Organizers will shed some light on common high-sodium foods and provide tips on ways to reduce your sodium intake. Register by visiting bit.ly/JSYSept23.
