Community Talks on I-81

If you have questions, concerns or want to submit a comment to the NYS Department of Transportation come join in-person conversations with David Rufus, the New York Civil Liberties Union I-81 project coordinator. The NYCLU kindly asks that you wear a mask if you are not vaccinated. Meetings will occur every Thursday in August. Refreshments will be served. Community Forum on COVID-19

Syracuse Community Connections and Black Health will bring together medical authorities, clergy, community leaders and the Onondaga County Department of Health for a community forum to answer questions about the COVID-19 Delta variant and how residents of vulnerable communities can take action to protect themselves. The forum will be live streamed and available to the public for viewing at facebook.com/natlblackhealth.

Pathway of Resistance Walking Tour

The Erie Canal Museum will offer several Pathway of Resistance walking tours, examining the African-American experience on and along the banks of the Erie Canal, from the waterway's beginnings to contemporary times. This in-person program will be offered on alternating Thursdays and Saturdays at 1 p.m. Space is limited.
