Everson Up-Close Artist Series: Carrie Mae Weems On Who What When Where

This virtual artist talk is connected to the current Everson exhibit "Who What When Where." It centers around a photographic series of the same name by Carrie Mae Weems. This seminal work, first exhibited in 1998 in Weems’ solo exhibition at the Everson, features four large format photographs printed on canvas, each combining text with a single image that references one of the foundational elements of narrative. Weems will discuss this piece in the context of the current climate in which perception is reality and misinformation has become a pervasive force in our lives. Note, registration will close 10 minutes before the start of this event.
