Fish Fry Fridays

The Greater Southside Homeowners Association and community partners will launch a pop up Fish Fry June 4. The menu will also include grilled fish as an option, corn on the cob, tater tots and lemonade and ice tea. Order are take out; limited seating will be available. This will be a recurring event every Friday, held from noon to 7 p.m.

Clean Up with Mayor Ben Walsh

Ecothot, a volunteer group committed to increasing city beautification, will hold bi-weekly cleanups in Syracuse. Residents are welcome and encouraged to participate. The first event is a kickoff of the city's Adopt-a-Block program and is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, with Mayor Ben Walsh at McKinley Park, 351 W. Newell St.

Sankofa Satrudays

TNT Southside Meeting

In June, Tomorrow's Neighborhoods Today Southside will welcome primary candidates to the 6 p.m. Monday, June 7, virtual public meeting. Additional topics discussed during this meeting include updates on plans for a 72-unit mixed income property at the corner of East Kennedy and South Salina streets and proposed plans for the East Colvin Repaving Project.

Each candidate will be given 5 minutes to introduce themselves. This session is not intended to be a debate.

Outdoor Paint Party with Artist Nada Odeh

Join the Community Folk Art Center for an outdoor paint party led by artist Nada Odeh. Odeh will demonstrate how to use acrylics to create a one-of-a-kind painting. Participants will be socially distanced and required to wear a mask.  The rain date for this workshop is June 24.
