Keyna Hora Klezmer will enchant listeners with their lively ethnic Klezmer dances and Yiddish folk songs from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, as part of the Betts Summer Concert Series. Klezmer music is the traditional instrumental music of the Jews of Eastern Europe. Enjoy the Klezmer sound as the soulful music of the synagogue is mixed with the verve of Gypsy melody. Everyone is encouraged to sing, dance and clap to the music.

Planned Parenthood educator Mallory will distribute brochures, fact sheets and give-a-ways, answer questions and talk to teens one-on-one about family planning, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, minors' rights and much more. All materials include information about where to access low-cost reproductive health care. If appropriate, referrals will be made to partner agencies for additional service needs. Candidate Meet & Greet

The Political Action Committee of the Syracuse/Onondaga County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will host a Meet & Greet for candidates running for county executive, comptroller, district attorney, county clerk and all county legislature seats. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 25 at St. Lucy’s Church, 432 Gifford St. Members of the community will have the opportunity to interact directly with the candidates, ask questions and review their campaign material. The event is intended to foster personal interaction between candidates and members of the public. The event is free, open to the public and refreshments will be served.

10th Annual South Side Photo Walk

The Stand will hold its annual Photo Walk for the 10th year Saturday, July 27. A Photo Walk is a social photography event where photographers get together to explore a neighborhood, shoot photos and practice their skills. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and start from the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St. Because this year is the 10th anniversary, multiple walks will be held. Interested participants may sign up for a specific walk or arrive day of the walk and pick which to join. Get the Lead Out Block Party

Tomorrow's Neighborhoods Today Southside's Housing task force will host the Get the Lead Out Block Party July. The event will be held behind Dunk and Bright Furniture on the grassy area. The purpose of the event is to educate residents about lead poisoning prevention. Information on grants and low cost loans will be available. Tabling will include: the County Health Department, Home HeadQuarters, Legal Services of CNY and more. Healthy foods will be served, and entertainment will include music and bouncy house and carnival games for youth.
