This new theatrical work by Vanessa Johnson offers a journey of DNA memories, present makings and future dreams. Told in three actor’s voices with spoken word, songs and monologues, the production is an unwrapping of the life of griot/storyteller Johnson and the common experiences of all women. 100 Black Men of Syracuse, Inc. in collaboration with Black Nurses Rock of Syracuse to host the 2017 Health and Wellness Lecture Series. At 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, Matilda Joslyn Gage (portrayed by living-historian Renee-Noelle Felice) will tell you how she, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony worked shoulder to shoulder for over 40 years to prepare the climate for that momentous event.
