ACTS Equity in Education Task Force Meeting

The Equity in Education task force with the Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse (ACTS) continues to focus its attention on research and discussion around issues of integration and concerns in the Syracuse City School District and surrounding districts. Task force members also continue to explore the issues of poverty and integration in local schools. Artist Art Brangman will utilize his artwork to provide a historical exploration of African-American heritage, urging attendees to begin the process of closure so healing can begin. Participants will also have an opportunity to design their own Adinkra symbols. Brangman’s artwork will remain on display at the library throughout the month.
