Celebrate Black History Month during an African-American Read In with guest David MacDonald, an award-winning ceramic artist. Day will include reading, crafts and book giveaways. Black Birth Songs: A Writing Workshop

Beauchamp Branch Library 2111 S. Salina St., Syracuse

Syracuse Black Birth Workers will lead a writing workshop about black birth stories as a form of reproductive justice. Participants are invited to write their stories using multiple formats including poetry, memoir, fiction and song. A limited supply of writing journals will be provided.
