Every day in our country, 130 people die from an overdose of heroin or prescription pain killers, collectively known as opioids. The opioid epidemic affects every corner of society. Naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) can be administered to help reverse the effect of an overdose and save a life. In just 30 minutes, you can learn to administer this drug through a nasal spray by trainers from Helio Health. Coffee and donuts will be provided as the trainers walk attendees through how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to safely administer this life-saving treatment. All participants will leave with a kit containing two doses and with the knowledge to use it properly. RSVP via email by Jan. 15 to Ed Griffin-Nolan at massage@dreamscape.com
