Audacity for Storytellers & Musicians

Audacity is a tool for storytellers and music makers. It can be used to create podcast material, soundtracks, songs, voice-overs or audition material. In this workshop, you will learn how to use the Audacity software to record live audio, find free sound effects and Foley clips, and use editing tools to refine your tracks. Register in the MakerSpace or online at www.onlib.org/events/calendar. Ages 12 and up. This program takes place at Central’s first-floor MakerSpace.

Balloon Rockets

Come and Cool Off

It’s August. Beat the heat by playing in (virtual) snow, painting with ice and thawing out frozen critters. No registration required; for ages 5 – 12. This program will meet in the second-floor KidSpace.

Citizen Review Board Meeting

City Hall 233 E. Washington St., Syracuse

The Citizen Review Board will hold its monthly meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. The board is a public forum for grievances about the police. Public comment period begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall.
