Parkinson’s Presentation

The Onondaga County Department of Adult and Long Term Care Services, Office for Aging will offer a free Parkinson’s Presentation by Dr. Dragos Mihaila, Neurologist with Upstate Medical University, at 6 p.m. July 23 at The Hearth at Greenpoint. The presentation, which is open to the public, will be on Deep Brain Stimulation, a surgical procedure used to treat a variety of disabling neurological symptoms, most commonly those of Parkinson’s disease, such as: Tremor, Rigidity, Stiffness, Fatigue, Slowed Movement, Walking Problems. Outdoor Film: ‘Get On Up’

Beauchamp Branch Library 2111 S. Salina St., Syracuse

An outdoor film festival will be held Thursdays in July showing free family-friendly movies. The final film in the series is "Get on Up" airing July 23. The films start at dusk (approx. 8:30 p.m.) at the new Sankofa Park, located directly behind Beauchamp Branch Library.
