Video Games, Life, Love and Everything in Between

December 8, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Steven Alexander, owner of local independent video game company, Infamous Quests, will present “Video Games, Life, Love and Everything in Between,” a talk about the impact of video games on our culture, as part of the Technology Alliance of Central New York’s 2016-2017 Sweet Science Series.

People interested in learning more about video game culture are invited to attend the Sweet Science Series presentation from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) in Syracuse’s Armory Square. Admission is free and open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome, but interested attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP to sweet.lecture@tacny.org by Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Alexander is a kidney dialysis survivor and current kidney transplant recipient who got into designing video games while dealing with his illness. His company, Infamous Quests, created Quest for Infamy, a traditional point-and-click adventure game that won four Adventure Game Studio Awards. The company also created Order of the Thorne: The King’s Challenge, Quest for Infamy: Roehm to Ruin and Order of the Thorne: Fortress of Fire. Alexander enjoys reading, spending time with his wife and son and the occasional trip to Disney World.

Sweet Science Series is organized by TACNY in partnership with the MOST and is aimed at an adult audience. The event is planned as an interactive discussion, and attendees are invited to bring their video game ideas and questions.
