Back to School & Community Celebration

A free Back to School & Community Celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Skiddy Park, sponsored by REACH Community Relief International. The following community organizations will also be on site to register students for free youth programming offered throughout the community: YWCA Girl’s Inc,./STYA (Successfully Transitioning Youth to Adolescence), Catholic Charities – Vincent House, Pretty Girls Rock, Saturday Academy with 100 Black Men of Syracuse,         Delta Youth Initiatives, Le Moyne College Upward Bound and Mercy Works (iCan Robotics Program, Teen Tech, SYNERGY, Passport 2 Vision, Vision Velocity). This event is open for the entire community, but has been designed and promoted with Syracuse’s iZone Schools and Delaware School in mind.  Syracuse City School District families with students who attend the following schools are encouraged to attend: Bellevue Elementary, Danforth Middle, Frazer School, Porter Elementary, Seymour School, Van Duyn Elementary, Westside Academy and Delaware School.
