Education Program now an option in the United Way Charitable Giving Campaign
The Mayor’s office recently announce that Say Yes to Education will now be added as an option for the United Way’s Charitable Giving Campaign pledge cards.
Say Yes to Education offers service and support systems for all students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade to ensure that students are on a successful track to complete high school and post-secondary education. In addition to the supports and services Say Yes also provides free tuition, fees and books to City School District students accepted at any of the 23 private institutions as well as the SUNY and CUNY schools participating in the Say Yes program.
“Say Yes to Education is a wonderful new program that has already impacted thousands of our school children in the City of Syracuse,” said Superintendent Daniel G. Lowengard, in a pre-released statement. “It is changing urban education, and we are so glad to add them as an agency on our pledge card.”
Through its Community Program Fund, United Way supports 39 agencies that sponsor 102 programs.
