Next Journalsim Workshop Aug. 14

The next Journalism Workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 14, at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St. It will be taught by Maureen Sieh, who has more than 20 years of newspaper experience and has covered Syracuse’s South Side for The Post-Standard as the former Urban Affairs Editor.

The session is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required to attend.

Future workshops will include an all-day session on video, another offering with Spoken Word/Slam Poetry group Verbal Blend and a multimedia all-day collaboration led by Photography and Literacy Project. Our year will end with another session taught by Lynn Olcott on Finding the Writer Within to provide motivation to pick up a pen and continue to write.
