Kevin Frank has been named the executive director of the Brady Faith Center. He will replace the current executive director, David Allen, who will retire from his post after three and a half years of service. Frank, whose appointment is effective May 3, will join Father John Schopfer, Brady’s pastoral director to carry out the mission of serving those in need on Syracuse’s South West side.
Frank has worked with Unity Acres, L’Arche of Syracuse and most recently for the past 20 years as the pastoral associate and neighborhood outreach coordinator for Saint Lucy’s Church. His experience with these ministries has led him on a personal journey of transformation and was recently quoted as saying, “the people I’ve committed my life to serving have always given me much more.”
Frank was chosen to lead the Brady Faith Center because of his extensive experience working in the urban community an his passion to serve individuals and families in the neighborhoods where they live and work. Frank will fit easily into the Brady Faith Center’s mission of the past 30 years which is to “meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of individuals and families in the neighborhoods of Syracuse’s South West community.”
The Brady Faith Center maintains a presence throughout the neighborhoods serving individuals of all ages through Eucharistic liturgies, human development and advocacy programs, as well as educational opportunities.
Services are provided at the Brady Faith Center, located at 404 South Ave., as well as through visits to the sick, those incarcerated, to families in their homes and wherever support is needed.
