Baby King is a local 3-year-old African-American boy who was born with CD40 Ligand deficiency, a hereditary immune disease that will become fatal without a bone marrow transplant. A bone marrow drive to join the national bone marrow registry will be held at 5:30 Nov. 17 at Ed Smith School. Paperwork, a cheek swab and 15 minutes of your time is all it takes to get tested to see if you may be the match for Baby King. If you can’t make the drive, you can register online here.
