The Stand’s South Side Photo Walk welcomed 21 participants for our annual event held Saturday, July 18.
A Photo Walk is a social photography event where photographers get together to explore a neighborhood, shoot photos and practice their skills.
Marilu Lopez-Fretts served as this year’s Photo Walk leader, opening the day’s event with a photo lesson. Next, participants followed a path through the South Side, leaving from the South Side Innovation Center.
The photo adventure was even streamed live on Periscope where viewers from around the globe could tune-in in real time.
After the walk, participants shared their photos with the group. A collection of images made The Post-Standard’s a Day in the Life photo gallery. View it here.
A collection of the day’s best shots will be printed in the September print issue of The Stand and images from the participants can be viewed here.
