South Side Photo Walk

A Photo Walk is a social photography event where photographers get together to explore a neighborhood, shoot photos and practice their skills. The Stand’s South Side Photo Walk invited photographers — at any and all levels — to participate and capture the scenes from the South Side to share with the community.

The Stand’s Second annual Photo Walk began at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 South Salina St. (across from Dunk & Bright). Several participants ventured out in the heat to walk down South Salina Street, through neighborhoods to Kirk Park and back (click here to see the route). Following the walk, photographers shared their photos with the group, and the day’s best shots will be published in the September print issue of The Stand.

More photos are shared below in slideshows from several of the participants who opted to share their photos from the day.
