Letter to the Editor

Soccer League for youth begins this Saturday

Tillie’s Touch is starting a Recreational Soccer League for children that reside within the city of Syracuse. The majority of the children can not afford to pay a registration fee or have equipment to play soccer. Tillie’s Touch is waiving their registration fee for any child/family that can not afford to pay and will provide soccer equipment for every child that needs it.

We want children in the city to have the same opportunity that children in the suburbs may take for granted. We also want to help keep the children off the streets and participate in something positive.

Tillie’s Touch needs help. We are lacking some equipment and revenue to be entirely successful.

Please consider helping us receive some media attention so we may catch the public’s interest and possibly receive the necessary donations.

We will start this league Saturday, April 27, at 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Dr. Edwin Weeks Elementary school at 710 Hawley Ave. in Syracuse and will run through June 1, every Saturday morning from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

You may download a registration flyer here. Please contact Dale Johnson for any further information.

Sincerely,

Dale N. Johnson
