Help Put Litter in Its Place

Register your group for the Earth Day Cleanup by April 6

Help beautify our community by volunteering for OCRRA’s annual Earth Day Litter Cleanup event happening April 20 and 21. Just donating an hour or so of your time can have a huge impact on the look of our community.

Students at the Southside Charter Academy collect litter during the Earth Day Cleanup in 2011.

Last year, close to 9,000 volunteers gathered up 164,560 pounds of ugly litter. With your help, we can surpass the 175,000 pound mark. Are you up to the challenge?

Grab your family, friends, co-workers and be part of this attack on trash.

Choose a public area in Onondaga County in need of attention (roadsides, streets, parks, ditches, gullies) and vow to make it sparkle. Registered groups receive special stickers and instructions on where to dispose of their collected litter free of charge.

Visit the OCRRA website or the online registration form to register.

Registration deadline is April 6.

Your volunteer effort and the hard work of our local highway crews make this event a success every year. Register your group today!
