Transgender Health Conference

The focus of this conference is on how to expand access to culturally sensitive and affirming health care for transgender and gender expansive individuals. The barriers within the medical system itself and how they affect the experiences gender diverse folks have when attempting to access care will be examined. Additionally, topics to be discussed include but are not limited to: Providing Hormone Replacement therapy; supporting whole families during a child’s transition; transgender legal rights and protections; trauma informed care, and more. Conference meets at Upstate Medical University’s Weiskotten Hall, 766 Irving Ave.
