This week, The Stand will offer its final General Interest Meeting.
This free event will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the South Side Communication Center located at 2331 S. Salina St. The session will allow residents interested in the paper to meet with The Stand to learn ways you can get involved. We are always looking for fresh ideas and new writers.
If you want to learn more about the paper and how you can participate, plan to attend.
The mission of The South Side Newspaper Project is to act as the voice of the South Side community in an effort to start a community conversation by inviting residents to share their stories.
Our goal is to have a positive impact on the community by introducing youth and residents to opportunities in journalism while also helping S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications college journalism students gain essential skills needed in their future fields.
