Series to Assist Teenage, Single Mothers

When Marcelle Haddix received the news of 20-month-year-old Imani Jennings’ death, she understood that a tragedy had befallen the community: a toddler was repeatedly abused and later beaten to death by her teenage mother’s 15-year-old-boyfriend. Home Maintenance Program to Start

Tonight, Jubilee Homes will hold the fall session of its Home Maintenance and Repair program.  The free program is the third and final one of this year. “The main purpose is to teach current and potential home owners how to make repairs to their house,” said Desaree Dixie, Jubilee Homes’ housing director.
